Friday A.M. March 23

9:00 a.m.

There are some places you don’t let your imagination visit. Like when you’re sitting in the waiting room and wonder if the surgical team has finished their prepping and if the doctor has done whatever he has to do to stop your husband’s heart from beating, so that he can sew the valve that mysteriously detached itself. As soon as that thought flits into your mind you exit. You block the image of him laying their engulfed in tubes, surrounded by green clothed people.

You don’t let you brain visualize the scene or flash pictures of what is happening outside of your minds-eye. Instead you play cards with your son, visit with your mother-in-law, write on the computer and you focus on staying focused.

You don’t borrow worries, you know everything is going to be perfect.

Johnny, you made me cry, as a wife, I know what this means to Chris. She is right, you are the best.

Chris, listen to your husband (at least about the writing), he shows signs of intelligence. (insert grin here)
